There are many applications for our various grades of carbon including removal or reduction of odors, tastes and dissolved organic chemicals from municipal and industrial water supplies. Activated carbon is a highly effective in the reduction of undesirable tastes and odors associated with chlorinated water supplies. They include point of entry/point of use (POE/POU) water filters for removing chlorine and organic contaminants from tap water, extruding carbon block for drinking water cartridges, air purification at residential and commercial buildings, recovery of organic solvents and light oils in petroleum refining, volatile organic compound (VOC) at industrial/chemical manufacturing plants, catalyst carrier in the synthesis of vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride, neutralization and odor control of sewage and hydrogen sulfide gases, ground and color/taste removal in the food and beverage industries.

Advantages
-
HAC is an outstanding material for applications requiring taste, odor and dissolved organic chemical removal from water with suspended matter present. This product can be used for filtering waters having a wide range of pH levels.
-
Large surface area results in an exceptionally high capacity and efficiency.
-
Balance pore structure gives a more efficient adsorbtion range.
-
HAC is very durable so losses due to attrition are kept to a minimum.
-
HAC has a very high carbon-low ash content.
-
HAC will impart a high “polish” to the filtered water.
